Day off: Nashville!

Was up a bit late watching Rifftrax for New Moon so I didn’t quite get to the update here. I can see if I were a teenage girl with budding bosoms I would enjoy this movie, but it’s just bad writing for those with “taste” in films. Rifftrax just made the flick watchable for me, thus I laughed lots.

Yesterday morning – woke up in a Wal-mart parking lot briefly, fell back asleep. Anthony decided to attempt sleep again in the front seat rather than accepting my offer of switching spots so he can actually rest. He started driving early and I slept through most of it.

Apparently there was a rock slide or something that ended up blocking our route to Nashville, so our 2 hour drive turned into something like 5 or 7 hours. Yeah.

We ate at Arby’s for brunch. Had myself the French Freedom Dip (HIYUCK) which was better than most other Dips I usually get at Arby’s. I can’t recollect which little town we were in, but it was close to the border of Tennesee. I think. Pssh.

Turns out Matt has some relatives nearby Nashville, so with permission we decided to mooch off of ‘em for a day. His aunt made awesome spaghetti and we lounged for the most part. Alex and Josh went to visit Skeet from Look What I Did while the rest of us remained antisocial. Yay! I worked on web stuff and yacked with Anthony about some business politics between management of our band and other bands.

Hooray for days off! Now I’m up early for the show day today which means I’ll probably nap a whole lot.

Things I learned today: Aunts can be awesome, keep your guard up in the music biz, and mmm… cake.
